Toshiba?

I was wondering what is everybodies opinion on Toshiba computers? The reason I am asking is I am saving up for a new laptop, I Like my net book but I am wanting to get something a little faster and with windows 7. The reason a toshiba caught my eye is 600$ and the reason is the 12 cell battery. All the other specs are good enough for the software I wanna run to do some minor photo, video and music editing. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Toshibas are pretty good, not the best, mind you, but they make pretty decent laptops.
 
toshibas are good i got the quosmio and it runs like a charm not to much bloatware either which i thought was good

really? my family has had about 15 hp's, all of them good. my sis had a compaq, and then hp bought them out so she got an extended warranty through hp, she has sent it in 4 time, 3 time for a new motherboard, and once for an hdd. hp took care of everything

ALSO: ASUS is a really good brand
 
I've had good experiences with 2 different toshibas...I'm using an HP now that is also very excellent.

ASUS in my opinion is still one of the best. but you pay $$$
 
Yeah I like Asus but I'm in the navy and from the ones I found at bestbuy.com the battery really wasnt that good for the price. I am in the Navy so battery life and price is a important thing for me. Never have owned a Toshiba and they fit my budget.
 
Go for it. All three people I know like toshibas.

EDIT: For clarification, I would like to add that I mean that the three people that I know WHO OWN TOSHIBA :P
