Time sync on networks

I manage a small network at a chamical plant and the network is used for process control. The network has 4 servers, 2 domain controllers and 9 clients. The software that we run on the computers is only for process control it it has its own time sync software. The problem I'm having is the time sync software does not time sync the domain controllers. About every 6 months I have to go to the domain controllers and manually time sync. Sometimes this causes problems logging in especially when they are different in minutes. The system may not authenicate when logging on and prevents changes being made ot the system. I was told I can fix that by changing the time sync softeware to windows time.
The command I was given was : NET TIME \\Computername /SET /YES
Since I'm not an expert in Networking I have no idea if this is correct. If it is correct which computers on my network do I have to run this command to get windows to take over time sync'ing ?
HOw do you turn NET TIME off if you want to stop using it ?
Any information or explanation as to this command would be of great help.
Is there any other way I can time sync all puters on my network ?
