time for a new modem?

happens daily once or twice a day. modem just loses connection and looks like it has reseted or power off and on again. looks like it is not the isp and is the modem. do i get another from isp or will a store bought one work?

cable modem? its good to get one from them knowing it'll work.. dont they usually have recommendations on their sites also?

If netgear you need to update its bios it happed to mine update and never had the problem again

Ok why dont you have a look for new firmware and see it that works

dont seem to have any. this is a external cable modem. found firmware but no program to flash it with?

Can you get in the modem settings E.g my number 192.168.0.1 try soming like that

http://192.168.100.1/ is the address I believe.

Get a new modem if you can, and if you still have problems, tell your ISP and see if you can get them to make a house call and check the lines and cables to make sure they are good.
