Hello,
I have nexttech x-530 speakers. and i tiltd the subwoofer on its right side, cause it did not fit in the our desk. Will this damages it? is it ok? Should i try to find anpthe rplace? (the side that it is leaned on has nothing)

no, tilting won't do anything to subwoofer it self. It may differentiate the sound a bit...but it'll be fine.

Subs produce omnidirectional (all directional) sound. Unless it has some weird design it shouldn't make the sound any different.

ok thx.
nothing is blobking anything, and the base sounds jsut as good. I jsut wanted to make sure,

Yea, gravity doesnt have too much effect on speakers, but then again, as soon as i say that, there will be someone to contradict me:P

If you have the sub box on its side then that means the sub is on its side... it wont make much of a difference but if you are a sound perfectionist like me i would take the sub out and reorient it so it is right side up when the box is on its side

How would it effect the sound?

think of it this way...if you were putting a brand new sub in a sub box would u put it in upside down??

like i said it wouldnt have a noticable effect but the sub is oriented one way for a reason so u might as well have it the right way... im really into car audio so perfect sound is like my passion

Subs move air, therefore if the hole where air comes out is blocked the sound will suffer. It's like oplacing your hand on a speaker cone, the sound will become very tinny and won't be full at all, due to restricted movement.
