Well right now at work - here is the problem

Their is a server set up for a specific department - all rights have been given to the specific user -

She can access the server but not the files from her computer - she will go in to the server and try to open a file and get the error message that she can not open them etc..

However - when she goes to any other computer - she can access the server and the files with no problem -

Windows XP pro is on the machine she has/ also yes she is the admin for her own comp

? is why cant she access the files from her computer but from all the others?

Thanks

active directory being used?

Active Directory! and does she have Service Pack 2, is the fire wall up, is it her personal computer, If it is on a domain is her computer on the domain. BLAH BLAH BAH. :D

actually if active directory is being used, it would seem that she has incorrect settings, and what you think is correct is actually backwards, being that if she can access the server from every other computer but hers, the permissions are backwards. OR her user ..er um, object (sorry been a while since A.D.) is in the wrong place in the hieracrchy, if now active directory, then talk to anthony....
