Thinking of buying a Game Pad?

I've heard that using a game pad to play games like Need for Speed, GTA and stuff makes the games controls alot easier to use. Is this so?

And also, I googled game pads and there are so many different kinds! What kind of pad do you guys recommend? Maybe links to some even.

i personly use this thing, i cant use any other contoller,

it does everything i need it to and has enough buttons for gaming. iv had it 6 years and its never let me down, even the LED still works

Yeah i would also recommend this controler,I love mine.

It makes driving games so much easier on the pc,I dont use it for any other game type though.

tbh i cant stand console style controllers, i have a wheel for driving games and an X52 flight control system for flight sim/flying games. Keyboard+Mouse for any fps and whatnot though.

yup, and you can use third party applications for the games not supported.

I also highly recommend this. Better than anything on the market. I would be lost without mine

Oh yeah that is true. Xpadder is a good one.

What I meant by most games was fully supported games.

You can even get the wireless USB receiver and use a wireless 360 controller, that's what I did with Halo 2 PC.

I use a wired Xbox 360 controller. Very nice when i am split-screening L4D on my PC

Wow didn't expect so much response, thank you! I've had a look at the wired 360 xbox controller but I couldn't find a wireless one? Are you sure you get them wireless for PC?

If not I'll just got for the wired one, looks like a safe bet.
