The Vista Sidebar

Hey guys
Well i do like the vista side bar but i dont want it no top of everything else however i would like it so when i press the show desktop button the sidebar is viewable instead of having to click the taskbar icon is this possible?

so you just want to see it when your on your desktop? just right-click on its icon, click properties, then click 'sidebar is always on top of other windows'

No becuase then it is above firefox and such.
i want it so when i press show desktop button it is there

so you want it to be invisible at all times until you press show desktop? im not sure of any way to obtain that result.

when you press 'show desktop' the side bar isn't in fact part of desktop, so it disappears.
to my knowledge there's no way around it, but i find that simply clicking a window, or possibly the 'start' button on the bottom left will reveal your sidebar.
