The comp hangs abruptly.. help!!!

Hi Folks !!
I have a strange problem with my PC,
Its Intel Pentium 3 make 800 mhz,
with a mercury 630 motherboard.
RAM is 128 MB,
I run Windows Xp professional service pack 2,

The problem is that the system hangs quite abruptly, & i have to reboot it again.
No other solution like ctrl+alt+del works !!

I changed the RAM & checked .. it did not work out .

Plzz.. help me out with this !!

when does it occur, does it happen when you do something speicfic, or just at random. Are all your fans working correctly, a test you can perform is use compressed air to move the fan, if the fan stops very quickly your fan is dying and your computer is overheating.

I would take a look inside your system and clear away any dust thats clogging the fans.

Also try starting in safe mode. If it starts fine and runs in safe mode without any problems i would say that the problem is software/driver related. If you've had your operating installed for a while and its not been reformatted recently i would back up your documents and format your hard drive and reinstall windows.
