the apu vs. the cgpu

I'm so very confused but I can somewhat grasp what these mean. Anyway, so it seems like a cgpu is basically a gpu and cpu in one, and apu is the same except there are different cores used for different things which makes no sense to me considering cpu's already handle all applications at a good speed. But anyway I was just wondering if someone can simply explain these to me, and just curious on what guys you think will end up being a better idea.

neither of them exist for consumers, and likely won't for some time.
from my understanding:
a cgpu is a gpu used as a cpu.
a apu is a gpu and a cpu strapped together so that they share the same socket.
