Testing 5.1 surrond sound

i need to know how i can test my speakers to make sure they are how i want them...i am soon gunna be playing counter strike and i need to make sure my speakers will help me figure out where the enemy is..please tell me of ither a site or program i can dl for free that will help me test it...thank you

if your pc has a process called "soundman.exe" running, that is all you need. if you do, just go to the hrtf demo in it.

well how do i find this soundman.exe and if i dont have it is there any other way?
