TCL Display problems

Can any of your tech experts talk to TCL and have them give an update to fix the bug with their display on their phones? I've already turned off the adaptive brightness control, but my display still keeps resetting to 71% no matter what I do to the phone. I know I need a new phone, but can't afford one right now.

Reset your phone, other than that do you really think someone from here can call them and tell them the issue when we don't even have the phone in front of us? You obviously have an app installed still that is controlling that. Reset your phone back to factory and I bet it will work just fine.

Have already tried that. Just have Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Nothing unusual

Seems to have worked. It's staying bright now. But the screen keeps going dark now when I'm using the phone. Reset the display to never, but it still goes dark after about a minute

Have you tried updating your phone's software? Sometimes updates fix display issues. If that doesn't help, reaching out to TCL support directly might get you more specific advice.
