System Restore

Since buying the PC I'm using about 18 months ago I have never been able to perform System Restore. It goes through the motions but then brings up the message that it was unable to perform System Restore, but doesn't give a reason.
Anyone know why?

What operating system?
Are you logged in with admin rights?

You can go here. in the query field
put in 'system res'

this will let you pick and choose your opeating system
and which issue. you will see selection for restoring.

I used to get this problem all the time where I would go into System Restore and after choosing the date that I would want to go to, I was unable to move on with restoring because it didn't work. There was a way where you could repair System Restore, but all that did was remove all previous dates and start fresh new. eventually I just had to re-image my computer because there was nothing else I could do.
