switching connection

hi, my uncle lives on the bottom floor of my house, and me and 3 other family members all share one connection. the problem is, my uncle keeps downloading stuff and it lags everyone, so i`m wondering if you could switch connections so that he wouldn`t lag me.

actually, is it even possible to "unshare" my connection and have my own?

you sure thats the only way? hes driving me crazy beause my ping is at 500+

Look in your router configuration, on mine it has the ability to block certain users from the internet, either manually or at certain times of the day. this probably isn;t entirely what you are looking for but it will sort of work, and leave you with more bandwidth
