I'm trying to find the best way to quickly switch between two audio output devices on my computer. I've got a new monitor with HDMI out, so that I can play audio for others to hear, as opposed to blasting the volume on my headphones and use them as speakers.
They are both shown in the "playback devices" and I can easily switch by clicking "set as default device". This isn't bad while I am in Windows, but if I have another fullscreen program up, this won't work very well. Nothing comes to mind, perhaps some sort of keyboard combination I might be able to bind in Windows?
Other than that, some sort of AV switch might work.
Lastly, I'm sure there's a way to enable sound output to both devices, but my monitor has no easy way of disabling sound. I would have to lower the volume all the way, and the buttons on the monitor are very poorly made.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Edit: On a side note, I'm using Windows 7.
