I have the original Pentax Spotmatic II, first came out in 1971... its great, but hard to find a battery for. I would love a Canon 8.2mp EOS, those are effing the best. and dragon, how do you have an 80gb WD caviar at 10000RPM? or is that the seagate you are reffering to?

SLR's in general are pretty sweet, definately gives you more control over your settings for your pics. But with the price, definately for the serious photographer.

Srry about the double post

lol, yeh, sorry, it's referring to my 120Gb one, i was gonna add the 7200rpm for the WD drive but it made that line of text too long and it looked a bit crap, so i just put the best one in there, hence 10000...

a bit off topic though, dont want to hijack so back on topic!!!

I will talk about cameras, just so i dont get in trouble- doesnt the EOS 30 go up to the amazing 1/8000 shutter speed? my old SLR goes up to 1/2000 (mechanical), but that is amazing! you could catch bullets in flight with that kind of stuff.
And dragon, sorry to burst your bubble, but seagate doesnt make a 10,000RPM barracuda, or a 10K with 120GB of space.

They dont, well damn, that'll teach me to actually read product descriptions and not jsut assume, where the hell did i get 10000 from then???

Wouldn't really call myself a professional, though have made a dollar or two here and there. I do a lot of my work for private parties, and my other stuff I usually post to www.photobucket.com.....m3incorp is the name I use on photobucket also.
Ahh the ole "L" lens question. Only one of the six lenses is an "L". Of course I want more, but at over a grand a pop, they come slow.

Nice, are you a professional photographer? Got a site? How many "L"s lenses do you have?

does anyone remember the Konica Minolta line of digital SLR's...the Z1, Z2, Z3, Z4, and A1?? those were awesome cameras!!
