Super Budget Sound Card

I wanted to get a really cheap sound card for a computer I had with onboard sound, and picked out a few. Which one here do you think would be best with 2.1 speakers? I realize they are cheap and aren't going to be as good as the $100 ones on some of my other computers, but would appreciate the advice anyway...
Thanks For The Help,
John

AOpen Cobra AW840
SABRENT SBT-SP6C
32-Bit 4-Channel CS4281-CQ
Crystal 4620
C-Media CMI8738
I/O Magic Storm Surge
I/OMagic MagicWave V2 Aureal Vortex
C-Media CMI8738
I/O Magic Aureal Vortex

Wow, I actually have that on one of my computers (it is good), but that was a bit out of my range for this computer. The ones above are all the ones in my price range from the places I usually buy from online, I'm still interested in a suggestion from the above if you have one...

Thanks Again,
John

NO NO NO! NOT CHAINTECH. Please dont choose chaintech. There stuff is cheap and breaks far to easily. My chaintech S848P was slow and it fried for no reason.

Id reccomend a Creative Audigy 2 ZS (The OEM version)

From what ive heard its a great sound card, and pretty cheap (Its the one im getting :D)

I don't think you should disregard Chaintech just because of one bad experience. I bought an ATi card that somehow managed to fail on me after about 1 week of usage. I still think ATi are a good company, and I might buy from them again...

Anyway, I think that AOpen Cobra looks good for the money. When it gets down to that sort of price range, you just have to look at the reviews.

I don't think it falls under the $10 category though :P

And volume is no object, it can def put out some power..... Bass is amazing aswell, current count is 4 times he neighbours have asked for it to be turned down, LMAO, really i think you should get that C-Media one, i have it, its good.

I had that card (gave it to my brother when i got my new motherboard, and it was the shit. Like you said, it doesnt perform like a cheap card.

yeh, i currently have just 2.0 speakers o it, my sub blew about 2 weeks ago, but the bass from the speakers alone still is good, can feel it through the floor.

I strongly reommend it when on a budget, performs like a pro.

I have the same one too, from the same plae, i just got it because it was cheap, but its good.

Also the sound card has ntohing to do with how much sound gets put out..thats yor speakers...sound card an just help qulity too, but ussaly new speakers will do more good then a newsound card.

i have a pair of speakers that i found in the rubbish tip, lol. thats where i get a lo of my old PC components, people throw out perfectly good stuff, jsut cos it doesnt work, well they didnt try very hard to fix it..... Ona good day you can slavage enough parts to ake at least 5 working PC's with, lol, these speakers still had the power adfapter nearby, so i yoinked em, lol......

anyway, i suspect the speakers are helping a lot, but the quality is really good from this cheap card.
