Hi,

i wanted to know if there was a way for me to stop yahoo messenger and skype messenger from loading up everytime i start my machine as they slow it down. I know that on Windows Task Manager, there is a tab called Processes, i click on the yahoo.exe and skype and select End Process BUT everytime i start my machine up they always appear when my computer starts up.

Is there a way for me to tell yahoo and skype and other programs to actually not start when my computer is loading up? As i want to start them as and when i need them. Hope that is clear/

Start Menu --> Run --> msconfig --> Startup --> Uncheck whatever you don't want to open on startup --> OK --> :D

actaully i found it, i did cmd.exe and typed msconfig.

Thanks

If you want to run a program like that in future, just go to the search at the bottom of the start menu and type the program name in. That's how you "run" things in Vista and 7.
