What is it and when should I use it. I notice when I listen to music it sounds really good. Also the sound card I have is all gold on the back and i have no clue in what order to plug in the green peach and black cord in.

thanks,
mike

I'm not exactly sure what the Stereo X2 setting it. It seems to be some Creative Labs feature... Just read the manual. As for how to plug them in, again, read the manuals. I know right off green is front/primary. There are probably diagrams on the I/O panel showing what's in/out/front/etc but I'm sure the manual shows all the specs.

Stereo x 2 is mirroring the front left/right channels and mapping them to the rear left/right channels.

There is no right and wrong, do whatever you like best. Stereox2 is supposed to be a cheap way of increasing volume levels without straining the amp.

You probably think it sounds better because its louder. Technically speaking it ruins the geometry of stereo sound, so most people don't bother with it.
