Staticy Speakers

About 30 minutes ago all of a sudden my speakers have be come staticy and I can't figure out how to stop it...I have done everything..unhooked and rehooked them, rebooted, messed with sound settings, looked for driver updates..none of it works...help please before i flip out
 
un-plug your spaeakers from the computer and see if there's still static(leave it on thou) or just test the speakers on something else.If there's no more static then it'll be a motherboard problem. I had that same problem. I figured what it was caused from in the end mine was caused from my frontpannel connectors to the motherboard. I unpluged them and the static went away, maybe its the same problem for you. other things that could cause it is it's shorting maybe something got behind the motherboard dust or something. I would recremend you unpluging the front pannels, to see if that helps

Mine started when i bumped my computer.
