Starlink vs smartphone

How do smartphones receive their internet signal vs starlink? I ask because one time I lost my internet and there was no rain but only dry lightning rays…! Would these dry lightning rays without actual rain knock out starlink internet like my smartphone?

Anything satellight based will have issues with bad weather. That is one of the reasons why I cancelled my dish network service and went back to Xfinity years ago. When it rained, it would go out until it got better. You shouldn't be having any issues with your cellular internet unless there is a tower issue.
