Speakers not functioning

Hello.

I have recently reinstalled my operating system, and I cannot seem to get my speakers to work again. I have gotten them to work previously from this installation, and I have tried everything I could think of to fix this. When I turn the speakers on, I hear a crackling noise. The speakers are Altec Lansing brand, BXR1120 model. My computer information is at http://www.mediafire.com/?9yn0u195gzl.

Which ones? The speakers did not come with any, and I cannot find any on the manufacturers site.

EDIT:Er, sorry. Probably a stupid question...
