Speakers and soundcards

For goodness sake don't even think about buying the second pair of speakers you listed. They look bling but they suck, terribly. They shouldn't even be on the market.

Go for the first pair but first, you need to make sure your soundcard supports 5.1 surround sound. If not then you will need to buy one that does if you plan on buying 5.1 speakers.
 
The first pair is probably better quality, but those second ones looks really cool.

They light up and have a wireless lcd remote. They also have a $60 mail in rebate.


A soundcard would utilize all 5.1/7.1 speakers and make everything sound a whole lot better. When gaming or listening to music, it would just be overall better quality. You dont have to get an expensive one.
 
for the first one, the SRN is >96dB, the second one is only >65dB. Watt isn't the only thing you look for.

not really, if you have an x-fi and some crappy speakers it'll sound just as bad.

Both parts of the system will effect the quality of the sound, loudness is not a factor at all

Both speakers and Sound card need to be good to get an excellent quality of sound out, although it does depend on just what your listening too. Banging music and its not gonna matter cos it will sound crap whatever :D

Decent soundcards are cheap enough now though if you want one. Audigy 2 ZS is excellent and wont break the bank and matched with a decent pair of logitech speakers will sound great

i went to a computer fair the other day, and i looked at some speakers which said 3300 watts, and mine were 140. mine still kick the crap out of those. do not pay too much attention to watts.
 
Hey!, i got that first set yeaterday. i plug it in, and it works awsome! wonderful speakes, loud, clear sound. Soroud for sure.....work perfeclty in harmony. Side by side! i just love them. They ain't the best looking, but still have a good look, like a professianol look. anyway. i am really hapy about them.

thanks, ive heard alot of good reviews about the first pair, i still luv those techno lights in the, but the sound is better in the first so i think im going with them
