speaker no work after install windows xp pro

i just upgraded windows xp pro from windows 98se.... my sound dont work and after researching and found these....

so im guessing my motherboard or the os dont support my sound device. it needs "Realtek AC'97 Audio Driver; Update to support new model KM266PRO-M2" driver... i went to the second link and tried to download from there but the mirror seems dead... does anyone kno any alternate mirror? or any idea how to solve my no sound problem?

Is this a prebuilt or a custom built? Either way, the problem is that you do not have the proper chipset drivers installed for your system. If it is a custom built, then there may be some hope, but if it's a prebuilt the company probably dropped support for it a while ago and there probably aren't any XP drivers for it. If you are not able to come up with any drivers, a cheap sound card should work.
