speaker cables

hi, i just got the logitech z5500s for Christmas. they have many different inputs for things. i have a laptop, lcd tv, and an mp3 player to hook up to these. is there any way to connect all of them

also
whats the difference between in terms of quality and stuff between optical, coax, 6 channel direct, 3 stereo inputs, and analog stereo mini cable configurations?

you can connect all of them with all of the right connections and connectors but not all at once i dont think. optical and coax are better than 6 channel direct. they are digital while 6 channel direct is analog.
 
One thing to note, which is utter bull$hit if you ask me.....if you have a creative soundcard, you will not get true digital regardless of if you use a coax or optical line. Creative wants you to not only buy their soundcards but their speakers as well. With that said, the soundcard changes the frequency (or something like that) so that only creative speakers can recognize all 6 channels of sound.
 
Ain't there a box on the market, which you can connect them all to and choose which one to take the signal from?
