Soundcard won't work

I currently trying to use my new Rain computer, The Event, for recording. For some reason, to add onto my list of problems, the soundcard isn't working. I've done all the troubleshooting, uninstalled it, reinstalled, checked for updates. Nothing works and I'm getting very angry. It's Microsoft UAA Function Driver for High Definition Audio - Realtrek 880/860. Thanks for the help.

Is it showing up as working in Device Manager? If so, are you using any type of front audio connections? Be sure the plug on the headers is the correct on(AC'97 or whatever) or that you have jumpers placed on the correct pins if you have no front connectors.

I recall having a problem with no audio on my desktop, and it turned out I was using the wrong plug on the header...

Wow, quick reply, thanks man.

When I look at the device manager it has an yellow ! point in a circle.

About the audio connections, I got kind of confused. I have no speakers plugged into the computer because the computer has a built in speaker. I've had the audio work before, but now it just stopped.

On another note, I did notice when I went to reinstall it, the icon in the control panel never came back, yet it said the audio device had been reinstalled. It told me the audio had been reinstalled but it still wasn't working properly.
