Soundcard won't work after reformat

Hi, I have just done a reformat of an old Tiny computer that was given to me. It has a genuine windows licence still attached, but was loaded with crap, so I just used my own windows disc and reformatted it.

Everything works fine except the sound. The motherboard is a FIC P4M915GPDI.
I went to their website and downloaded drivers, but none of them worked, also went to realtek and downloaded its driver which seemed to install ok.

In device manager, there is no longer a yellow ? next toit and it says the device is working properly, but if I go to Control Panel >> Sounds & Audio Devices >> Audio tab, there are no devices shown and none to choose from.

Anyone know how I can get this working?

ya you have that wrong drivers... depending on what your now runnin like you might have a 64bit driver when you have a 32 bit.. or you might have like a vista driver with xp on ur pc.. just uninstall the current drivers and get the right ones or if u think u have the right ones.. just re-install them

Hello Friend,
Check Control Panel/ Sound & Audio Devices/ Properties/ Audio tab/ Sound Playback click on down arrow and check that the correct audio is selected. Typically the problem will be they something like "modem line 0 playback" might have been substituted for the proper audio device.

Thanks,
James
