Soundcard vs onboard

So... I'm thinking of getting these:

Sennheiser Award Wining Audiophile Dynamic Headphones HD650

Is a dedicated soundcard going to add a lot of quality or am I better off getting an amp? My motherboard is the P6T Deluxe V2. The sound is already pretty good, but can it be that better with dedicated card?
There's a few in this list, don't know which one is the best for price/performance though. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Produc...n=soundcard&bop=And&Order=REVIEWS&PageSize=20

I probably will only be using this card with headphones, sometimes speakers but very rarely.

What speakers do u usually hook on?
If you not hook on 5.1/ 7.1 system, consider ASUS Xonar Essence ST/ STX. It have build in AMP

i got the x-fi titanium pro sound card that is very nice card, but if i had the money i would get the HT | OMEGA Claro Halo Sound Card
