Soundcard/Speaker question

i just bought this sound card because i heard onboard caused quite a deal of strain on the cpu sound isn't a priority with me so i went with something fairly cheap.

I bought these speakers to go with it since my current speakers are only 2.1's so i figured i might as well use the card as much as possible while staying on a steep budget

question is i have never used anything but 2.1 speakers and onboard audio so with this stuff will i notice a difference in sound?
 
Hey man I have gone back and forth on them and you will definitely notice a major sound difference. The quality will be better and the sound will be clear and crisp. Also make sure you go into the bios and disable the on board sound and you will get a little big of an improvement in memory even though you have 1 gig so you probably wont notice to much of a difference.
