I have a XPS gen 2 and the speakers are pretty wimpy. I was thinking about buying the Creative labs Audigy2 ZS and the Sennheiser HD555. But I heard from one of the reviews that the sound card sticks out of the side. Is this true?

And what is the best setup for my laptop for under $200.

Does anybody know where I could get this sound card and headphones cheaper?

I would appreciat it. Thanks in advance.

do you prefer your music to be more laid back or direct?

would you rather be in the front row of a live concert or in the middle?

what music do you mainly listen to?
 
I was planning to get it from Newegg and surround sound system. Is there a noticable differnce if I use a sound card in a surround sound setup.(5.1)

a difference between what? the sennheisers?
 
The sound card (Audigy 2 ZS) and speakers are different. Is there a difference between stock speakers and, say, Logitech speakers? Yeah. Is there a difference between the laptop sound card and an Audigy 2? Yeah.

This will be especially noticable at higher volumes/more recent games.
