Sound stopped working

Hi,

I have been using the onboard sound card since I got this computer and it has worked fine until the other day.
The motherboard that I have is: Intel D945GCCRL Motherboard - Intel Socket 775
I looked in the device manager and found that the audio card has a warning symbol next to it and it says it is not installed at all. I tried to update the driver but that did not work. I downloaded the d945gccr audio drivers because I could not find the d945gccrl drivers and that did not work. I don't have the CD to the motherboard that has all the drivers. Also I am using Windows 7 OS. Any ideas on what I can do to fix my sound?

Thank you,

I noticed that the windows audio is setup fine. I can't seem to get the speakers to work still. I tried another pair of speakers but still no go. I noticed on the speaker in the bottom right it seemed to be set to headphones instead of speaker. I plugged the speaker wire into into the headphones jack but I still got no sound. Is there something i need to do to set it to speakers? I don't know how it got like this. Could this be the problem that the audio is set to headphones? If so what can i do?

Thank you,
