Hello

I am having trouble with the sound output from my Acer Aspire 5920g laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium.

I have a Labtek Pulse 485 stereo speaker system connected to the laptop via the headphone socket and until very recently the sound output was OK. Now I get no sound out of the speaker system nor d o get any sound out of the laptop speakers when I disconnected the Labtek speakers.

The computer sound control is turned up and the Volume Mixer shows that all components are on full volume. Nothing is muted.

Using the driver update procedure under the Control Panel/Device Manager I am told that all sound drivers are up to date and working correctly. The control Panel/Device Manager also shows that there are no problems anywhere on the system. Using Control Panel/Sound I find that all devices are turned up to full volume.

I have tried the Audio Wizard but it cannot find any problems.

How do I proceed from here?

The first thing i would try is uninstalling the drivers, downloading the latest ones off the internet (from Acer's website) and install those.
