Hello everyone

I'm having some serious sound related problems and I'm going to describe what happened very detailed. Please read the whole post very carefully before asking me questions.

For a long time i've been having a problem with COMPUTER CHIP FAN FAIL when computer was starting up , but then i stopped using the computer for about a month and I ignored that because i had more important things to do. Couple of days ago when i came to computer i pressed F1 to skip the warning message turned on the computer and went to play CoD 2 . In the middle of the game first I got a bad sound with a lot of breaking and a Realtek Sound Manager - Connector Sensing came up and displayed a message that Front , Rear And Center/Subwoofer speaker are plugged in wrong. Then the sound went completley off. The problem is that I don't have Speakers turned on at all( i have a headset) and when i tried to turn off the message i got BLUE SCREEN and computer restarted.

After pressing F1 at the CHIP FAN FAIL message computer turned on normally and i have no sound and the sound manager and drivers just disappeared .

Now i go to reinstall the drivers soo i download Realtek AC 97 from their website and i install them but when i restart the computer sound is not there. Sometimes i manage to get realtek drivers and sound manager to show again after restarting but after next turning off they dissappear again.

Here is some hardware information:

OS: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 3
DirectX: DirectX 9.0c
Processor: AMD Athlon 64, 2000 MHz (10 x 200) 3200+
Motherboard: ASUS A8N5X (this information was added by me everest said unknown)
Motherboard Chipset: nVIDIA nForce4, AMD Hammer
System Memory: 1024 MB (PC3200 DDR SDRAM)
Graphic Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT (256 MB)
BIOS Version : ASUS A8N5X ACPI BIOS Revision 0902
Audio Information : // I can't find nothing on my audio card this is what i get in dxdiag "No sound card was found. If one is expected, you should install a sound driver provided by the hardware manufacturer." I know only that it has something to do with Realtek AC 97 .

ALL INFORMATIONS ARE FROM EVEREST Home Edition. I hope that someone will be able to solve this problem or at least tell me what to do if there is new hardware needed.

Thank You in advance

It seems that you have integrated sound card and its breaking down. All you have to do is buy yourself a new external sound card. Your broken internal one you can switch off in BIOS. Also it'll be good idea to check your COMPUTER CHIP FAN. If it working, than its sensor does not work. You can check this settings in BIOS.
