Hi,

When I am playing music (CD/MP3s on computer) Windows media player displays that its still playing but the music just loops the next 1/2 a second for about 5 seconds. Example: the lyrics are: And if "I catch you" it would play: "and i and i and i and i and i and i and i and i" etc. a lot. Quicktime just cuts out now and again. I cant record the sound since sound recorder wont record when this is happening it just freezes and will only start recording after the problem has stopped.

Please help as I like to listen to music!

Thanks,

Tom

Have you tried other (better) players such as Foobar or Winamp?

WMP, is, well, prone to doing that. QuickTime, is bound to be very buggy, and it hardly plays anything. And the things it does play, it has terriable support for.
Try RealPlayer (it decent, not the best) UltraPlayer (one of te best-plays almost everything!) and the VLC Media Player (probably the best, it plays practically everything)
Apart from that, make sure you have the latest audio driver for your soundcard. Also, make sure your computer has got enough memory. Have at least 50 MB free for pretty good audio playing.
You can check you much RAM you've got with FreeRAM XP Pro. Not only that, but it helps you free memory. I've actually freed about 200 MBs out of my 512 MBs with it.
