Ive been thinking for a while now,I dont seem to be playing games much these days and when i do i just dont enjoy them as much as i used too.

So i thought about selling my rig in sig, putting the money towards other stuff i have planned for the future and have a few questions.

1)Should i part out or sell my system as a whole?

2)How much is it worth (Just the system base w/out monitor, key & mouse)?
Would you say around £650?

3)Does this seem a good build for just web browsing/Youtube etc?

AMD Sempron 145 2.8GHz 45W Socket AM3 Retail Boxed Processor
MSI GF615M-P33 GeForce 6150SE Socket AM3 VGA 8 channel Audio mATX Motherboard
Asus 8400GS Silent 512MB DDR2 DVI VGA Out PCI-E Graphics Card
2x Crucial 1GB DDR3 1333MHz/PC3-10600 Memory CL9 1.5V Unbuffered Non-ECC
Corsair 430W CX PSU 4x SATA 1x PCI-E
I already have a Small HTPC case,Hard drive and id be using Linux.

That build comes to £157. :D

if your selling the system whole are you including your win 7.

you would prob get more selling the parts, but would take longer and give you more hassle, why dont you set your price you want and test the water and see what response you get, then if you dont get near to what you want, then think about splitting the system down.

For web browsing/youtube, then a cheap netbook should suffice. Not sure if I'm still selling mine, but will let you know if I do. I reckon you could get a bit more than £650 for your rig, maybe start at 750-800.

Yeah it would include the windows 7.

I think id just end up parting it on Ebay or something, thing with selling as a whole people dont like to pay anything near what its really worth as ive experienced in the past

Ive had a Netbook before, and it struggled with Youtube Vids at 720p  so im not sure if a Netbook would be really all that ideal because id still want a system that can handle 720-1080p Youtube vids easy.:)

Of course the easiest option would be selling it whole, but on average you'd probably get less money than parting it out as someone stated. I would try selling locally first to avoid having to worry about packing/shipping and paypal fees if you go that route. If you do go the E-Bay route try to find free packing material on craigslist (if they have a listing near your location) and add on a 3% fee for paypal, that way you don't lose out on so much money. As far as how much to sell it for, it would take me awhile to figure it out since I'm in the US and don't know the price differences that well.

I'd try here first. likely be expensive for shipping. then Craiglist. ive bought from a few items. set up perimeters like within 50 miles. i could go look. Then break down here in parts then likely Ebay as separate component.

if you want to downscale a bit, i can see its sensible if you don`t use the system to it`s full power anymore, but i wouldn`t go from that spec way down to a sempron, why dont you go half way and build a low end phenom or intel quad.

yes i would think you will get more cash splitting the machine, if you have done it before did you find the parts easily sellable ?

but i wouldn`t go from that spec way down to a sempron, why dont you go half way and build a low end phenom or intel quad.

But a Quad core just would not be needed for Basic internet/youtube duties, and those semprons are not as bad as people make them out to be. :)

Not sure what im doing yet.

yes but you might take a notion sometime to want to do the odd thing, better have a bit of spare power available just incase, wouldn`t cost you much to do even an athlon build, so your still gaining a good bit of spare cash from your high spec pc, but not dropping right to the other end of the scale.
