sound issues

I don't know much about computers but here is my problem, i have a tv hooked up to my computer with an HDMI cable so i can watch movies on it but i can only get sound through the tv if i unplug my computer speakers from the back of the tower. I was wondering if there is someway to get sound to come through the tv and computer speakers simultaneously or just switch from one to the other without unplugging the speakers from the back of the tower... I am running windows 7
