For some reason, when I watch DVD movies on my 46" Toshiba TV using portable DVD player, the speech of actors is barely understandable or too quiet, while the sound effects and music are very loud. So I usually have to change the volume every time I can't hear what is being said and tone it down significantly when there are sound effects or music being played.
Tried tweaking TV's sound/audio settings but not much did change in that case.
But when I watch normal TV channels everything is fine and balanced, or even better.
What could be wrong? How can all of it be fixed?
