Hey there.
I've recently had to get Windows 7 on my computer after my old harddrive died out. I had been running Windows XP previously. With XP I had a non Microsoft sound program, which enabled me to run speakers from the back sound plugs and the front plugs.
It also prompted me whenever I plugged something it. IE if I plugged a mic in, it would recognise that a mic was plugged in, etc.
I can't remember anything about the program, except that its icon was black with white lines through it and the volume control panel was black.
If anyone knows the program with those vague descriptions or knows of an good alternative program, (I've seen a few, but don't know which is best) that can do the same thing, please let me know.
I'm very computer illiterate, so please excuse me
Den.
