Gotta ask the obvious here. How do you have the speakers hooked up?

1. Through the green port on the back of the motherboard?
2. Through a sound port on a dedicated sound card?
3. Through the hdmi connector on the video card?

Also, do you have the sound output correct in control panel?

I would assume when he installed the video card that the computer automatically switched his audio to HDMI so he just needs to change that setting.

I got my speakers connected to the green port on the back just like before. I thought that maybe something like the hdmi would be the issue when I go into sound in my control panel and go into the playback it only gives me the option of the hdmi output and nothing on realtek hd audio driver

Look in device manager to make sure the realtek sound driver is still installed.

Weirdest thing, heard this of this happening before. But never to me, weird. Try reinstalling your onboard sound drivers.

Go into the bios to make sure that hd audio is enabled. Have you tried rebooting the system to see if it detects the realtek audio?

Ok. So I downloaded the Realtek Driver, didnt work. Checked the BIOS, says the sound is on auto, do I switch to enable?
