Sound card

I have a Creative Audigy 2 ZS sound card. If I want to plug the audio headers on the front of my case, shouldn't I plug them into some headers on the sound card rather than the motherboard?

Also, If I want to plug a HEADSET (headphone with microphone), where should I be plugging the... plugs on the sound card.

I can plug the plug for audio (not mic) on the control pod of my speakers: (you don't see the jack, its covered by the logo)

But then where should I plug the MIC plug? I tried in the sound card and on the onboard audio card, but none worked.

the front sound port's wires goes to the motherboard's when is using onboard sound or to the add on sound card or how else can you hear sound if it is not connected to the audigy 2zs.

As far as i know you cant hook up front panel audio ports with the Audigy 2zs because they dont have headers on them. And by hooking it up to the motherboard you are using the onboard sound.

OK, different "problem". I managed connecting the MIC header of my headset on the MIC port of the sound card, but when I plugged the SPEAKERS plug and play sounds, they come out of my 5.1 and not of my headset.

How do I do so that the sound comes out of the headset when I plug it in my sound card?
