Sound card with Amp?

So call me lazy, but I don't like having to use an external separate amp for my computer speakers. I know that in board cards generally need external amplification, but is there a card out there that doesn't?

Basically, I want something that I can hook my speakers up to directly (just a 2.0 setup) and use the volume setting on my computer for.

Is this possible?
 
It won't exist mate. Active speakers would solve the problem, but there is no way you can power passive speakers without an amp.
 
Yeah. A long time ago Creative had sound cards with amplifiers built in and a volume knob. I haven't seen anything like them in almost 15 years though.
