Essence ST/STX? The ST can have the 5.1/7.1 daughterboard, you'd need RCA to 3.5mm adapters but it would work. If you have the STX, you're out of luck unfortunately.
You probably didn't have the molex all the way in, I did that the first time. If you want surround, you'll need the ST plus this: http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=211&products_id=17483 plus adapters for the bigger plugs (standard 3.5mm > 6.3mm adapters x 3)
X-Fi Titanium would fit the bill, but it has no amping.
can u give me a link for the right X-Fi Titanium model?
I'm getting a new sound card

but their out of stock, also would it be good for music?
Fatal1ty gear is usually good but not in the case of sound cards. I was talking about the stock standard X-Fi Titanium:

It is good sound card but to getting Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD need have video card that support Dolby TrueHD or DTS-HD, and receivers that support HDMI input and output.
