Sound card not working after reinstall

I just recentlly reinstalled xp after a stupid incident i had with the mbr and i now noticed that the sound card is no longer detected. I think the card is integrated and the pc is a packard bell imedia 1328 running xp home sp2, i don't really know much else about the computer like mother board and stuff
