Sound Card Idea, please confirm

Computer in my Sig.

Onboard 7.1 sound card, Use it only for Voice comunication.
PCI Audigy 2, for rest of computer.

I have yet to buy any PCI sound card, I just hate it when I cant hear what there telling me, It would be awsome to turn down the speakers without loosing Voice sound, Yes I know I can do that in the game but this gives me real time instant freedom.

would this work? would this be a pain in the ass to keep everything working?

Works if you are allowed, in Teamspeak, to specify the audio source. Otherwise it [teamspea] will use the default windows source.... of course you can set, in windows, the default output to be Audigy2 and the default input to be onboard.
 
If I install a PCI card, which one is defualt? Onboard or PCI?
Will I expect amazing sound from a Audigy 2?
(I curently have a 5.1 Good speaker set)
Can I switch in bios which one is default?

I was thinking of just buying a standerd sound card and using the PCI one for Teamspeak, I get off work in 3.5 hours, and will be going to Frys.

Well, I bought a $12.99 sound card at frys, and its awsome having Voice comunication on a diferent channel.
