Sound Card Help

ive got Logitech x-530 Surround sound system and currently using the onboard sound card from the Asus M4A89GTD PRO Motherboard

Would it be worth buying a 5.1 or 7.1 sound card?

I mainly use my headphones for everything will it have any effect on them?

if i do use the speakers its for music on the odd occasion

Any help appreciated, if you suggest getting a sound card please post links. preferably to ebuyer as ive bought from them before or amazon.

Although your speaker is not at higher end, you can still find improve to having sound card. But if you are not using speaker frequently, I doubt if it worth to invest.

If you after sound card, I suggest you go for mid range Asus D1

if i bought a sound card id probably use my speakers some more so would there be much difference between the Mobo Sound card and buying a new one ?

For those speakers, probably not that much of a difference. You're better off using good headphones or upgrading to better speakers.

ill wont be investing in a new sound card ill use what i already have, thanks for the help guys.

i dont think there will be much noticeable difference with the speakers i got
