Some folders on my desktop won't open

I cant open My Documents or My Computer, internet explorer and a few others, it could be that I have buggerd it up myself
when trying to get rid of a virus. I would be most greatful if someone could help especially if it's put in simple terms for an idiot. Thanks for your time, finchy. :confused:
 
No message at all just the little icon you get when waiting for a programme to load but if you move the curser away it dissapears, running M E

Yeah, your missing some DLL files, which is usually due to a virus! DLL files missing can cause a whole series of faults, if your opertting system disk has a "repair" function use that, otherwise just re-install the entire OS
