Some BSOD Advice

I haven't made a help thread in quite some time.

I've got an issue at work with my PC. I got a new HP machine (a Z230 SFF) and it has been BSOD'ing ever since I got it (a few months). Sometimes multiple times a day, sometimes only once. Sometimes I'll go a week. What cause it is unknown. It will happen with any program I'm using, or none at all. In fact, it crashed 10 times overnight while it wasn't being used. What we've tried:

1. Re-installing windows
2. Replacing RAM
3. Replace entire machine except SSD and Storage HDD
4. Replace SSD
5. Run without HDD

I've uninstalled absolutely everything but the bare minimum that I need to do my job. There are 2 others at work that use the exact same machine with no issue. (In fact, the old that we swapped with in step 3 is being used by someone else with no issues). I'm not using any software that those two machines aren't using at this point. We've used different Windows install disks in case one was bad.

The BSOD's are all across the board. It's not just a single error or driver. It's several. A couple of the common drivers that have crashed since the last Windows re-install (after replacing the SSD) are tcpip.sys, ntoskrnl.exe, hal.dll, ndis.sys, and wfplwfs.exe. ntoskrnl.exe occurs the most with these errors (among others):

MKODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
INTERRUPT_EXCEPTION_NOT HANDLED
SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR
DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

When I go into work tomorrow I'm going to memtest each memory stick individually (though, the RAM's already been replaced).

I'm at wits end here. IT is also out of ideas. We seriously don't know what to do about this. Unless for some reason this model PC doesn't like SSD's, but that doesn't seem right considering the 2 others that run this exact same setup, 1 with Windows 7, and the other with 8. So, I can't say that it's an Operating System issue, either. As mentioned, HP has already completely replaced the machine. All we did was take the drives from the old and put it in the new one. Even so, at this point, we've replaced the drives, too. The only thing left are the project directories (programming projects) I saved to my SSD before disconnecting the HDD. Those are literally the only constant factor in all of this. About the only left to try is a completely different model PC, I think.

So... does anyone here have any ideas?

I would need to see the actual dump files. When it gives you that a windows system file has caused the issue, don't believe. That's hardly ever the cause. Something else is making the windows file cause is. Could be a certain application or driver or memory issue. I would need to debug the dump files to determine whats going on. So zip them up and attach them.

5703-01 - memory corruption
5562-01 - Caused by dbsrv.exe
5515-02 - caused by system - keclock interrupt notify
5515-01 - caused by system -
5453-01 - caused by dbsrv12.exe
5343-01 - caused by system - same as 5515-01
5296-02 - caused by wfplwfs.sys
5296-01 - memory corruption

So you have a wide variety of things here. Anything look familiar to you? Maybe software related?

dbsrv12 is Sybase 12, the database engine used in our flagship product. It gets installed with our software. I imagine dbsrv is related.

Not that I'm ruling out the possibility, but that software is installed on pretty much every machine in our company, including every machine identical to mine.

I really don't know what to tell you at the moment. You said you have new system except for ssd and hdd and it still does it. Wouldn't suspect ram at this point, definitely mind boggling for sure.

We've actually replaced the SSD and disconnected the HDD as well. We've even replaced the keyboard. So that's pretty much all the hardware. Well, unless it's somehow the monitors or mouse. I'm going to try uninstalling sybase, just for kicks. Thanks, john.
