Name a software that every computer geek must have.

For me it's VMware, you should try it. It's definitely faster (I've used VPC04), more compatible, and has more advanced features.
I guess it depends on your system, yes, VMware makes my system as a while much slower, but it offers me much better performance in the VM than VPC. And the outside OS is usable if I need to use it. When I'm in the VM however, it's usually all I'm doing. If I download a torrent, I just make a disc image of it and mount it in daemon, then run it in the VM. It also emulates better hardware. Most people I know prefer VMware, but hey, whatever works for you, keep on using it. I know VPC runs Win95 better.alienationware said:VMWare is a resource hog, it eats up more extra memory (in addition to that which you allocate to the VM) than VPC2004. What's more, it doesn't support shared folders for Win98 (imagine trying to download a big torrent into the VM instead of thru a shared folder to the physical host). VPC2004 may be slower, but it's more user friendly, uses less system resources and has great support for Windows OSes.
Oh yeah, I was also annoyed by the fact that I couldn't import my Win98.vhd into VMWare.
