So my friend...

My friend bought a computer from uMart - he payed the $1800 for things he didn't need because his all knowing brother decided he needed a 1000w psu for one 570 but anyways, they left out his cpu cooler from the build, yes he didn't even let me build it for him, he was going to but his brother said no..
but anyways now it's taken them a week to put it on, and he isn't even asking for anything free
AND he bought an led strip of them.
What would you be demanding of them if this happened to you?

Most likely demand the $80 build fee back, on top of the cooler fee. They wasted ~hours of his time driving forth and back to South port to drop it off and then to pick it up.

Some people will never learn.

I totally agree.
I'd probably try to get more than that for free.
AND there would be no chance of me buying something else from them, that's cheaper from pccasegear...

I would have an intervention and explain to him that it is socially unacceptable to pay large amounts of cash for something that he can get a lot cheaper. At first, he'll probably deny it, as most do, but lightly explain to him that its not his fault. Introduce him to the great world of online shopping and deals where you will find just about any part at a discounted price.

We've tried, he usually buys things online, but as soon as he's spending lots of money I guess he gets embarrassed, and especially when someone else ****s up.
I'm disappointed in him, I spent about 20+ hours finding the best deals for my pc..
But he wanted to buy everything from uMart..

Oh and

caveat emptor

The place he bought it from offers a one year warranty for their build, and from what I can see all pc parts have 3+ year warranty, so he didn't take a risk, he just ****ed up.
