SMTP Server

Hey All,

Soon we are going to have a spare pc and I'm thinking of turning it into a server when we get broadband. SMPT server sounds like a good idea but I don't know how you set one up on a normal pc, any help?

Unfortunately it's only for sending mails...

Do you know how to turn a pc into a mail server? recieving and sending.

Sendmail, exim, postfix, etc. I don't know any SMTP servers for Windows... sorry.

Its like this. Soon we are going to get a new family pc and broadband. We will have a spare pc which I would like to turn into a server then possibly network it with my own personal pc. However i wsn't sure what to use it as. I thought maybe a mail or ftp server.

How about a web server? Get yourself a copy of Linux or FreeBSD and install Apache.
