Have you run virus scans such as malware bytes recently could be an infected file causing slow startup times.
Two minutes? Ha, that's normal for my laptop, and its installation of XP is barely a week old.
Now that I remember, when I had XP on my desktop, it did take a while too. Have you used any tweakers? I had a tweak set so that the page file would get deleted on shutdown, took a long time to shutdown until I turned oof the tweak.
